During a WPA bruteforce job, the CPU stays 98% idle for me.
I wondered if it was possible to put that to "good use" as well?

Well oclhashcat does everything on the GPU.
hashcat will do everything on the CPU.
give them both a different task i guess. however, on CPU it is awfuly slow.

I used to think the same thing until I pretty much determined its not even worth the time and effort, especially if you have newer higher end AMD GPUs. As NBZ said you could give them separate tasks, but what might take 5 minutes on a GPU could take 2 days or so on a CPU.
