40 times 5970's per rig all running oclHashcat-lite

I love this setup...So would this be running off a PCI extender board?

well this sucks. i bought this pcie 1x to 16x, plugged it into an 16x slot on the motherboard but the system wouldn't boot (no video and doesn't POST). guessing it needs to be plugged into a 1x on the MB but my MB doesn't have any of those slots. was basing my cable choice from this picture http://super-key.com/phones/oc/oc06.JPG it would appear they have a 1x to 1x cable plugged into an 16x slot on the MB and figured my cable should've worked.

anyways, ordered new 16x to 16x cables and will try this again.

You just needed to make short on your x1 plug and it would work. Because your card needs to know bus wide. read this: http://blog.zorinaq.com/?e=42
