Hello,
I have had extreme difficuluty in getting a similar configuration as you have posted here up and running within Windows 7 Pro X64. Can you advise me what is the specific version of the following questions?
Tyan Motherboard BIOS revision? FT72???? or FT77???? V1.XX?
Exact version of Linux/Ubuntu being run?
Exact version of ATI Linux driver being utilized?
Thank you

Hello Login,
Are you sure of the BIOS version you are utilizng? As for the the FT72 board I did not see a bios release matching your description from the Tyan website. And yes we are still having issue with this one. It appears the BIOS version you described matches the latest genration of their chasis which I beleive is the FT77. Have you attempted to install Ubuntu on this unit? Also you have installed AMD SDK v2.7 which most post advise to remove it?

HD 7970 and HD 6970 do not work with more than 6 GPU cards (and usually just 4) in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. That however is about to change. I'll try to post it in this forum when the problem is resolved but in the meantime run Linux CentOS 6.3 or greater. Also you can track updates on Facebook / RenderStream.

@ vima
Try catalyst 12.8, I think you will get better results. At least with mine 5850 I get 2% performance drop from 12.8 -> 13.1 cracking md5. Would be nice to know, get back to us.
