Whenever I try and crack any hash in hashcat (Using The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali) linux in oracle vm) it goes through the normal process but says 0/1 hashes recovered
0/1 salts recovered

Finish time: --:--
This is very annoying....

Since you're using The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali), let me put this in terms you will understand: "Try Harder."

Hello and welcome to the Hashcat forum!
If hashcat is not throwing any errors then this basically mean you did not find the password yet, I think. You can either try different word lists/rules or different attack methods to recover the hash. Also, to get the most accurate answer it is always better to share as much information as possible like what version of hashcat are using and what is the syntax that you have written. If you encounter an error please post it.
Side note: hashcat is not annoying at all, the combination of lack of experience and impatience is.
