After running hashcat I get :
hashcat (v5.1.0-42-g471a8ccc) starting...
clGetPlatformIDs(): CL_PLATFORM_NOT_FOUND_KHR"
I installed the drivers from AMD following their
instructions. ROCM does not work on my setup. I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 Thank you!

The rx480 is working fine. I know because I own one myself.

I dont doubt the card is working ok, but I can't seem to use hashcat without getting that error. Did you run into this same problem?

apt-get install dkms rock-dkms rocm-opencl-dev

ROCM doesn't work with my CPU/GPU combination according to their response at their github. I have been using hashcat with the radeon drivers on windows with success but would appreciate the opportunity to compare performance on ubuntu.

If you just want to try it on linux you can also use AMDGPU drivers

Are you talking about the AMD GPU Pro drivers? If so, I have tried that step already in my first post here. If not, could I get a link? Thanks!
