For those that use an Intel CPU for OpenCL - the latest runtime installer will not properly remove some old files and registry entries, which leads to phantom platform. This is a known Windows issue ...

Rumour time! According to ChipHell (https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1588175-1-1.html), the new GTX Titan "P" and 1080 Ti will be based on GP102 and not GP100. The major difference of the the Titan P...

I bet the lowest belong to the stock clock of 1607 Mhz, and the other results are from overclocking the GPU by a bit. I'm not a fan of automated overclocking shenanigans and luckily GTX Titan has sta...

I've read elsewhere that watercooled 1080s may have core clocks of 2.5 GHz and according to that source (http://wccftech.com/geforce-gtx-1080-blow-p100-gpu-single-precision-performance-variants-includ...

According to my preliminary calculations, 1080 should do ~18129M p/s at stock clocks (no boost) for MD5, but since it's derived from old gen's data (Maxwell), the estimation should be skewed, either u...

Rolf will chime in and say that GPUs beat CPUs in terms of performance/$ and performance/W, so running a pure CPU cracking box for a bunch of generic hashing algorithms isn't very efficient.

So, in this specific example, Titan X is ~7.2 times faster than Titan, both being overclocked. Serious performance increase over old gen architecture.
