I am running a Radeon HD 7770 and I've installed the Catalyst 13.1 driver...
Every time I run oclHashcatExample.sh, I get an error "STOP: Unsupported or bad installed GPU Driver version detected".
This may be a bug, I'm not sure.

The drivers seem to work fine, Catalyst detects the drivers fine.

should be in your path, just type 'clinfo'.

Late, reply; my internet went off.
I don't see clinfo in the hashcat directory.
If you could list everything needed that should be installed, I can make sure I have all the correct stuff. I can also uninstall Catalyst and reinstall, but I'm unsure how to do that.

@wkdwilliams How did you install catalyst? I now tried to (re-)download it from here
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/li...linux.aspx and see if clinfo is inside:
$ wget
http://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/amd-dr...x86_64.zip
$ unzip amd-driver-install*.zip
$ chmod +x amd-driver-installer-catalyst*.run
$ ./amd-driver-installer-catalyst-*.run --extract NewDirectory
$ cd NewDirectory
$ find -name clinfo
./arch/x86/usr/bin/clinfo
./arch/x86_64/usr/bin/clinfo
So the clinfo is definitely in the zip and you should run the amd-driver-installer as sudo to install everything.
Then check if clinfo is under /usr/bin/clinfo or
$ sudo updatedb
$ sudo locate clinfo
Before the catalyst stuff doesn't work (isn't installed), oclHashcat cannot work.
Please test this things -- reinstall etc

I do not see any problems in the output. It seems that the card was detected correctly.
So now, which version of oclHashcat do you use? The newest of course! (if not download it)
I don't see any such file as 'oclHashcatExample.sh' within the downloaded oclHashcat-plus 7z.
Please try to run oclExample0.sh
It could be that the system is not using the amd drivers but the default drivers provided by the system... Did you do a reboot? Please check if the kernel modules are loaded etc... also there should be an libOpenCL.so that oclHashcat-plus*.bin uses...
Please also report linux distro + bitness (x32 vs x64) here.
